First, you have to change the 15% into a decimal. The decimal would be 0.15
Next, you multiply the cost of the meal, 45.68, by 0.15
That makes 6.852, but since we're talking about money, just round it to 6.85
So 6.85 is the tax
You add the original price and the tax to get the total: 45.68 + 6.85 = 52.53
The total cost is 52.53

The answer is 6.85
