[tex]m = \frac{y_{2} - y_{1}}{x_{2} - x_{1}} = \frac{-1 - 5}{3 - (-4)} = \frac{-6}{3 + 4} = \frac{-6}{7} = -\frac{6}{7}[/tex]

y - y₁ = m(x - x₁)
 y - 5 = ⁻⁶/₇(x - (-4))
 y - 5 = ⁻⁶/₇(x + 4)
 y - 5 = ⁻⁶/₇(x) - ⁶/₇(4)
 y - 5 = ⁻⁶/₇x - 3³/₇
   + 5          + 5
      y = ⁻⁶/₇x + 1⁴/₇
