If abx - 5 = 0, what is x in terms of a and b?

Here we want to have x on one side of equation so,
we put number 5 on right side of equation:
abx=5
then we divide both sides by ab to obtain x on left side:
Result:
x=[tex] \frac{5}{ab} [/tex]

[tex]abx - 5 +5= 0+5[/tex]

[tex]abx=5[/tex]

[tex] \frac{abx}{ab} = \frac{5}{ab} [/tex]
