The sales tax on a $350 computer is $22.75. What's the sale tax rate?

if the tax rate is "x", then we can calculate it like this:

350*x=22.75

we calculate this by dividing both sides by 22.75:

x=[tex] \frac{22.75}{350} [/tex]

this means:

x=0.065

or to put it in percentage:
x=6.5%

that's the tax rate!
