To increase an amount by 3.2% what singular multiplier would u use

The answer to this question is 1.032. 
suppose you have a number x and you want to increase it by 3.2% so x+x*3.2/100 =  x*(1+0.032) = x*(1.032)
that means you have to multiply be 1.032
