The united states as the worlds greatest power financially and militarily. After Germany, Austria, and many other of the main powers of the time fell from grace. The united states economy boomed and the financial center of the world shifted from England to the US. France on the other hand lost a great majority of its men leaving a lost generation with a vacuum in its power structure. Another major shift was the jingoism of the German people.
