6s + 12 = 3(2s + 8)

Solve what is in the parenthesis first. To do this, multiply everything in the parenthesis by 3.

6s + 12 = 6s + 24

Subtract 12 from both sides.

6s = 6s + 12

Subtract 6s from both sides.

0 = 12

This means there is not solution.

Something that helped you get to this answer was by combining like terms.

Hope this helps!
