the feature is plantations had many enslaved workers.
The middle colonies did not possess a large area of good land, so not many workers are needed in this region.
The region in southern colonies, on the other hand, had the perfect weather and soils for agricultural sectors, so they need a lot of workers that they got through slavery in order to cut down cost of labor.
