Solve 12 - 4x = 8

Really bad at algebra, please help :) XD

Remember, whatever you do to one side of the equation you have to do to the other.  The end goal of this is the solidify the variable on one side of the equation.

So, you start with 12 -4x=8.  You want to try and get the variable alone on one side, so you would subtract 12 from both sides, resulting in the equation

-4x=-4  Next, to continue to get the variable alone, you would have to undo the coefficients multiplication by dividing both sides by -4.

So, you get x=1 as your answer.
