Paul and Scott were solving the same problem. Who is wrong? Explain their error.

3^x=9 x=3^9
3^x=3^2 x=19,683
x=2

We have log (3) x = 9. After that Paul wrote: 3 ^x = 9. 3^x = 3^2, x = 2 ( but this is wrong in his firs line ). If we have log˙(x) a = b then: a = x^b, but Paul wrote it in a form: b = x^a. On the other hand, Scott was right. He wrote: 3^9 = x and as a result he had: x = 19,683. Answer: Paul is wrong. Hope I helped! :) Cheers!
