I'm assuming you meant to write [tex]\frac{x}{7x+x^2}[/tex]

If so, then factor out an 'x' from the denominator and cancel

[tex]\frac{x}{7x+x^2}[/tex]

[tex]\frac{x}{x(7+x)}[/tex]

[tex]\frac{1}{7+x}[/tex]

So the answer is [tex]\frac{1}{7+x}[/tex]
