The adipose tissue is the particular type of tissue that is abundant with enzymes that engage in thermogenesis and do not particularly accomplish any other work. These enzymes are only stimulated through locomation and intentional movement of the muscles and can be classified into three: 

a. Exercise-associated thermogenesis (EAT) 
b. Non-exercise activity thermogenesis (NEAT) 
c. Diet-induced thermogenesist (DIT)
