The answer is 8 because 7.96 ends in a number over 5 making the 9 and 10 and increasing 7 to 8

since in the hundredth there is a 6, you have to round up. But since there is a 9 in the tenth place, then you round up to the ones place. So the answer is 8. Hoped this helped :)
