The father chose death to be his son's godfather because of his station of life. The father wanted his son to have a fair chance in life. The father didn't care about the family background. He wanted his son to have a chance to succeed in life. But since the son was given without hard work and sacrifice, he misunderstood his relationship with his godfather which caused demise.
