The possible outcomes when you roll a fair 6-sided dice are 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6.

The total number of outcomes is 6.

Now, the probability of rolling a number greater than 5 is:

[tex]\frac{1}{6}\approx0.167[/tex]

Because just 6 is greater than 5 and it is 1 of the 6 possibilities.

The answer is 1/6=0.167=16.7%
