1) Since we have an equation of the line y = 2 + 5(x + 7) let's find one point that ∈ to this line.

2) Let's plug into that for x, the value of x=1

y= 2+ 5(1+7)

y= 2 +5(8)

y= 2 +40

y= 42

3) So one of the points that lie on this line is (1, 42) i.e. belong to that line.
