the equation is:

[tex]-1(t+8)=-7.1[/tex]

Now we can divide bout sides by -1 so:

[tex]\begin{gathered} \frac{-1(t+8)}{-1}=\frac{-7.1}{-1} \\ t+8=7.1 \end{gathered}[/tex]

now we rest 8 in bout sides so:

[tex]\begin{gathered} t+8-8=7.1-8 \\ t=-0.9 \end{gathered}[/tex]
