Supplementary angles add up to 180°

A+ B = 180

A is 9 times as large as B.

A = 9B

We have the system of equations:

A+ B = 180

A = 9B

Put the second equation into the first one, and solve for B

(9B)+ B = 180

10B = 180

B= 180/10

B = 18

Replace the value of B on any equation and solve for A:

A = 9B

A= 9(18)

A= 162

A= 162°

B=18°
