From the question

We are given the equation

[tex]y=rx[/tex]

We are to find r given that

When x = 2, y = 14

When x = 6, y = 42

When x = 11, y = 77

Substituting the first value, x = 2, y = 14 into the equation we get

[tex]14=r\times2[/tex]

Solving for r we get

[tex]\begin{gathered} r=\frac{14}{2} \\ r=7 \end{gathered}[/tex]

This is true for all values of x and y

Hence, r
