The expression for y is given as y = (7x - π)/2

Subject of formula

Linear equation are equation that has a degree of 1.

Given the linear equation

π=7x-2y

Subtract 7x from both  sides

π-7x = -2y + 7x - 7x
π-7x = -2y

2y = 7x - π

Divide both sides by 2

2y/2 = (7x - π)/2

y = (7x - π)/2

Hence the expression for y is given as y = (7x - π)/2
