according to definition of acceleration

a=v-u/t

t=v-u/a(equation 1)

according to the formula of average velocity

v+u/2*s/t

s=v+u/2*t(equation 2)

now putting the value of t in equation 2

s=v+u/2*v-u/a

s=v^2-u^2/2a

v^2=u^2+2as
