FOIL = First terms, outer terms, inner terms, and last terms. The product of the first terms is 24 (4*6). The product of the outer terms is -12i(4*-3i). The product of the inner terms is 18i(3i*6). The product of the last terms is -9i^2(3i*-3i). "i^2"= -1 So, -9*-1= 9.
