We should have, if not a full understanding, then at least a basic understanding of the "founding principals" of our government. In recent years, we have lost sight of the true meaning of Democracy; a lesson that I believe we could all do to learn again. The founding principals of our government allow for citizens to understadn both the true meaning of Democracy, and the way in which to go about achieving democracy.
