Since its isosceles right triangle, then 2 sides are going to be the same. There are 2 legs that are in any triangle, they give us 1 leg so now we know what the other leg is. Now the formula for finding hypotenuse is a2+b2=c2.

[tex]3^{2}+3x^{2} =c^{2}[/tex]     3 squared is 9, so 9+9=18

now we have c but we arent done so now we find the square root, [tex]\sqrt{18}[/tex]. Which is [tex]3\sqrt{2}[/tex] or 4.24.
