 d + q = 35....d = 35 - q
0.10d + 0.25q = 7.25

0.10(35 - q) + 0.25q = 7.25
3.50 - 0.10q + 0.25q = 7.25
-0.10q + 0.25q = 7.25 - 3.50
0.15q = 3.75
q = 3.75/0.15
q = 25

d + q = 35
d + 25 = 35
d = 35 - 25
d = 10

so there are 25 quarters and 10 dimes
