y^2-4x+4y-4=y^2+4y-4x-4=(y+2)²-4x - 8= 0
it is the same of    x + 2 = (1/4 ) (y+2)²
   
the main formula is  x-h= a (y-k)² so h=-2, k= - 2 and a=1/4
