How many 1/2 cubes could fill a 8 1/2 cm , 11 c, 2 3/4 cm box? Please provide an explanation.

1. 1/2 is a half of 1 so, 2 X 1/2 X 4 = 2 so, 1/2 X 8 = 4 so, 8 X 2 = 16 so, 1/2 X 16 = 8 + 1/2 will be, 17 cubes make up 8 1/2 cm cubes.
