Usually, timelines are made from an objective point of view for a person, although the timeline can tell the readers the achievement of a certain person, the decision of what kind of person s/he is up to the watcher's judgment. However, speech about Malala Yousafzai is from a person who has a real life experience connection with that person. So, speeches directly show us what kind of person Malala was to them. and I think those are the differences.
