Answer:

A law is a description of an observable phenomenon, it's usually expressed by a mathematical equation. A law explains HOW something occurs. It's is a truthful statement, a law can't be fake.

A theory is a  framework that explains a phenomenon with proofs and evidence. A theory explains WHY something occurs. Theories can evolve because new information was discovered.
