If ∠A and ∠B are supplementary and ∠A = 4x – 8 and ∠B = 2x +2, what is the value of x?

Set them equal together. 4x-8=2x+2. Subtract 2x on both sides. 2x-8=2. Add 8 on both sides. 2x=10. Divide 2 on both sides x=5. Check answer!!!
4(5)-8=12
2(5)+2=12 
12=12
So answer is x=5!!!!
