The Nile River influenced like in ancient Egypt because agriculture depended on location. For example, If you were to put a farm where there is bad soil, dry land, no water, the animals and plants would not be able to live. Thus, being close to a river where it is not dry, would extremely help with agriculture. It is called Irrigation Canals. Therefore, people decided to live there because of the river.
