Three of Aurangzeb’s policies which were responsible for the decline of the Mughal Empire:

1.Costly, long drawn and ruinous Deccan campaigns.

2.Numerous wars with the Sikhs, Marathas, Jats and Rajputs.

3.He lost the support from the Rajputs who had earlier contributed greatly to the stability of the Mughal Empire; the Rajputs later became bitter foes of the Mughal Empire.
