Do the problem in the equation first. Then take the sum of 9x8 and solve for the zero power. Then use multiplication/ division from left to right, lastly do the addition and subtraction from left to right.

remember PEMDAS
Parenthesis
Exponents
Multiplication and Division
Addition and subtraction

Use this rule in order to solve equations. Especially more complicated ones in algebra.

Hope this helped.
