Answer:

-3/4 * 5 = -3.75

-3/4 ÷ 5 = -3/4 * 1/5 = -0.15

She is correct because -3/4 × 5 = -3.75 and -3/4 ÷ 5 = -0.15.  -3/4 × 5 is less than -3/4 ÷ 5.  The smaller the negative number, the bigger it is.
