Use the basic kinematic equation of

Final velocity = initial velocity + acceleration * time (shown in image)

simply plug the numbers in to get

Velocity(final) = 0 + -9.80 m/s^2 * 1.55 s

to give us

-15.19 m/s for our final velocity
