Can someone please explain if light relates to the particle model and how it does or does not?

Wave-particle duality, Light consist of particles and waves. With light as particles, If we have a double slit and you send particles throuh the slit one by one, you will see single particles appearing on the screen, they are random but as time goes, they form a wave-like pattern where there are brighter columns and dimmer columns.
