Show that 3 is a zero of the polynomial 2x^3-x^2-13x-6.

p(x) = 2x³-x²-13x-6

p(3) = 2(3)³ -3² -13*3 -6
 
       = 2*27 -9-39-6
 
       = 54-9-39-6
    
       = 0

therefore 3 is the zero of the polynomial.
