If this is a multiple choice question on a test then choose the answer that fits closest to "if DNA is mixed into a cell's chromosomes". If not then just type that. The main part of a plant cell is its DNA, the transformation is only successful if the DNA itself is successful. That's the best way I can explain it. Hope it helps you.
