For this case we have that the average is given by:

μ = Σx/N

μ=[tex]\frac {1 + 1.50 + 2.50 + 3} {4}[/tex]

μ =[tex]\frac {8} {4}[/tex]

μ = 2

On the other hand, the deviation is given by:

σ = Root(Σ(x-μ)^2/N)

σ= [tex]\sqrt {\frac {(1-2) ^ 2 + (1.50-2) ^ 2 + (2.50-2) ^ 2 + (3-2) ^ 2)} {4}}[/tex]

σ =[tex]\sqrt {\frac {2.5} {4}}[/tex]

σ =[tex]\sqrt {0.625}[/tex]

σ = 0.790569415

ANswer:

μ = 2

σ= 0.790569415
