You have to use Point Slope Form...

ABOUT POINT SLOPE FORM:

  • y - Y1 = m (x - X1)
  • Y1 & X1 is a point on the line
  • The form allows you to identify the slope & the point on the line

ABOUT PROBLEM:

  • Since -1 is the slope, that means it represents m in the point slope formula
  • -2 represents X1 in the point slope formula
  • -1 represents Y1 in the point slope formula

y - Y1 = m (x - X1)

y - -1 = -1 (x - -2) --- In Point Slope Form

Hope this helps you!!! :)
