3x + 14 = 20 - 2x. What is x and how to solve it?

3x + 14 = 20 - 2x

add 2x to each side

5x +14 = 20

subtract 14 from each side

5x = 6

x = 6/5  = 1 1/5

Answer: 1 1/5
