first multiply 0.03n and -0.4 which is

0.03 x -0.4 = -0.012

then the remaining is

0.012n = 10

divide

10 divided by 0.012 = 833.333333333333

which is equal to 833 1/3 (one third, one line three)

First off you simplify:

negative times negative is positive so you get- 0.03n+0.4=10

Subtract from both sides, getting you:

0.03n = 9.6

which leads to:

n=320 which is your final answer
