What is the value of x in the equation 3x –1/9 y = 18, when y = 27?

3x-1/9 y=18
if y=27
Then:
3x-(1/9)27=18
3x-27/9=18
3x-3=18
3x=18+3
3x=21
x=21/3=7

Answer: x=7

3x - (1/9)y = 18

Plug in y = 27

3x - (1/9)27 = 18

3x - 27/9 = 18

3x - 3 = 18

3x - 3 + 3 = 18 + 3

3x = 21

x = 21/3

x = 7
