Given equation :

- ( 2x - 5y + 1 )

Let's write this equation as :

-1 ( 2x - 5y + 1 )

Now, we use the distributive property.

Distribute -1 with 2x , -5y and 1

The final equation would be ( - 2x + 5y - 1 )

-(2x-5y+1)


To simplify multiply to each term -1.


-1(2x) = -2x


-1(-5y)= 5y


-1(1)=-1


So it will be -2x+5y-1
