An airplane was at an altitude of 33,000 ft. The plane decreased it's altitude by 5%. What was the new altitude of the plane?

it's 34,650 you take 33,000 ft and times it by .05 and you add 1,650 to 33,000

you can simply use 33,000 x .95 to obtain the correct answer
