Hello!

First you have to find out what 1/2 a yard is in feet

There are 3 feet in a yard so there are 1.5 feet in 1/2 a yard

Divide the amount of fabric by how much is needed to make a bowtie

18 / 1.5 = 12

The answer is 12

Hope this helps!
