How are electric charges similar to magnetic poles? how are they different?

Electric Charges and Magnetic Poles both form field lines that either attract or repulse.
Magnetism also occurs when a charge is ran through an object.

A difference is that magnetic poles require both poles to create a magnetic field (North and South), while you may have one point charge and still have an electric field around it.
