According to Acceptable Macro-nutrient Distribution Range(AMDR) majority of calories you eat should come from fats, vitamins, protein and carbohydrates. These can all be classified as nutrients and these nutrients also differ in how quickly they supply energy. Fats are the slowest while carbohydrates are the quickest.
